WWII Miniature Seaplane Temperature or Clock Case in Pewter Syroco Design
A WWII Sea Plane casing!
Originally made in the 1940's in Syroco wood and later produced in pewter. The original Syroco wood casing held a thermometer. The pewter version was sold with a small quartz clock insert.. a 1" one. This casing is made in cast pewter. Old factory stock from 2000. The body does not come with a thermometer or clock movement, but the 1"-diameter clock movement inserts are readily available in quartz. This can be used with a photo, a mirror, or a clock. Measures 3.75" (9.5 cm) high and 3.89" (10 cm) wide. The hole for the clock is 1.1" ~ (2.8 cm). There are no chips or cracks.
